To go along with the June kids program, how about a
birding outing with kids? To attend you must either be
under the age of 18 yourself or bring someone under 18
years of age. Please contact David beforehand if you will
attend so he can get an idea of numbers. He'd like to limit
this trip to 30 total people or less. David says he hopes to
have more kids than adults on this fun birding field trip.

Everyone is invited to help with this butterfly count. You
do not have to be a butterfly expert. Dress for the
weather, wear comfortable walking shoes, a hat and
sunblock. A snack and bottle of drinking water may be a
good idea also. There is a $3 charge per participant to go
to the North American Butterfly Association.

You must contact trip leader at least by Thursday, June
19 if you plan to attend. If you do not, there may be no
one at the meeting place when you get there. The early
start time will allow is to begin when bird activity is high.
Possible birds include: Least Flycatcher, Blue-headed
Vireo, Common Raven, Black-capped Chickadee, Redbreasted
Nuthatch, Brown Creeper, Winter Wren, Veery
and others. Bring lunch, drink and raingear.
